| Violet sat in her highchair tonight while we had dinner. For about five minutes she was content to try and get the plate or her toy fruit into her mouth, after which she insisted on sitting in our laps for the remainder of the meal. | |||

| Tomorrow Steve heads back to Lexington for the remainder of the summer. We spent a few minutes in the front yard, in her favourite place underneath the oak trees, taking some pictures of Violet sporting a new dress from Aunt Jo! | |||

| To celebrate the holiday, this morning Violet had on a red white and blue dress, complete with stars and stripes. Coincidentally 4th of July is on a Saturday this year, which is the one day per week Violet poos. Considering her preference to save a week's worth, you can imagine the mess. This afternoon, after hosing her off, we put her in a bucket of warm water for her final rinse. | |||
